ELBAITE var MOOR'S HEAD

SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, ITALY - O well …nothyng to say, the photos of this specimen speaks by themselves ! Elbaites are quite rare above 1.5 cm but this is probably even more than rare since it is a 2 cm terminated elbaites var Moor's head ... really great . The elbaites is close to an open cavity dominated by quite large k-feldspar crystal which is 4 cm across. There other large fledpsars around and several quartz crystals. Large and showy specimen of 14x10x7.5 cm.

ELBAITE, K-FELDSPAR and ALBITE

SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, ITALY - Close to several light pink k-feldspar crystals there is a well termianted bicolor elbaite. The elbaite is 0.8 cm. There are also several other elbaite of 2 and 5 mm spead around the specimens, partly hidden by nice white albite crystals. The feldspars are up to 1-1.5 cm across. Overall size is 7.5x4.5x4 cm.

ELBAITE and K-FELDSPAR

SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, ITALY - A very showy specimen, with great estetics. The specimen hosts with great armony large pink k-feldspars , quartz crystals and a great terminated elbaite. The feldspars are up to 5 cm across and have qurtz and albite crystals all around ! the elbaite is gemmy and bicolored and is 1x0.6 long. Due to the position of the elbaite, the crystal had a crack close to the base that has been stabilized before the specimen was taken away from the granite. Overall size is 8.5x7x7 cm
