SPESSARTITE on FELDSPAR

ROSINA DIKE, SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA - Spessartite is quite uncommon inside the pegmatites of Isola Elba and the only specimens found were collected while working at the rosina dike in 1994. This specimen is from that finding and shows several quartz and great bright feldspar crystals up to 2.5 cm with half a dozen spessartite crystals close to them. The spessartite show the classic orange color and are up to 0.7 cm ! overall size is 5x7x5 cm.

ROSINA DIKE, SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, ITALY - Spessartite has been found inside the pockets of the Elba pegmatites only in few occasions. The last one was in 1994 when the Rosina dike was found and exhausted ! This specimen is from that finding. Nice, gemmy, orange in color spessartite crystals show up on the white feldspars ! there are half a dozen crystals up to 2-3 mm. Overall size is 6x6x3 cm

Overall size is 4.5x3x2 cm.
